The Fall Schedule will begin on Wednesday, September 14th.

Our TREK theme for the year will b r i n g  c e l l ...

Can you hear me now?    Can you hear me now?

Okay, good.  As I was saying, our TREK theme for the year will bring cell phones into the mix as we explore communication with God (vertical) and with each other (horizontal).

What do we do when we hear God calling? Do we answer Him or ignore the call? Are we so busy that we don't even hear Him calling? Do we have a good connection or are there a lot of dropped calls? Do we put God on hold sometimes? How often do we call Him? And what about communication with each other? What are we good at and what do we need to work on?

The First Baptist Church TREK youth group is for kids in grades 7 through 12. We will meet each Wednesday from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. upstairs above the Loft starting on September 14. We have a new rec. room with a fancy new paint job which will give us space for some games and activities as well as small groups with discussions, Bible study, and prayer.

We are also planning on starting a TREK praise band this fall. If you want to sing or play an instrument, talk to our music minister, Martin Wollin. You can join us for practice in the church sanctuary on Wednesdays from 5:30 to 6:00 p.m.. Dinner is right after that, in Luster Fellowship Hall from 6:00 to 6:30 p.m.

The TREK adults who will be helping out a lot or a little are:

Rosie Black, Eric & Lora Hanson, Martin & Lois Wollin, Kenya Crummer, Mary Turnquist and
Dave Baxter.

Take some time and track us down on facebook or in church on Sundays. The Trek youth group is on facebook at Trek Baptist. Find us and friend us soon!
