Loving Our Neighbors

We take Jesus' commands seriously:

"You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind, and all your strength.  The second [commandment] is equally important: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' No other commandment is greater than these."

Local Outreach

We love our city!  We believe that God strategically put us in the heart of the city as agents of his mission to bring all things together (as they should be in righteousness and justice) under Jesus Christ.  Not only do we desire to serve the city, but we recognize that we need the city perhaps even more than the city needs us for our own spiritual health and well-being.  In the summer of 2017, we opened our doors to a flourishing food ministry.  We also raised funds to give away nearly $3,000 in school supplies.  We actively support the Gospel Mission, Habitat for Humanity, and other local practical ministries to people in our city.  But we believe God is calling us to much more and we are excited to bring God's Kingdom to the city we love.  Stay tuned...God is working on and through us.

Knox Prairie Community Kitchen

Beginning July 12, 2018, the Knox Prairie Community Kitchen will begin serving meals to the community on the second and fourth Thursdays of each month at FBC.  Typically, over 100 folks attend and enjoy these community gatherings.  We are thrilled to offer our facility to KPCK which serves our community in such a profound and wonderful way.  We think if Jesus were in Galesburg on 2nd & 4th Thursdays that he would be here.
